Mountain Media Books currently publishes books from two crime fiction authors: Lise McClendon and Katy Munger. All books will be available in trade paperback over the next year.

Lise McClendon is the author of the Alix Thorssen series, set in Wyoming and surrounding states. It features art gallery owner Alix Thorssen. She is also the author of a Kansas City-based historical mystery series featuring Dorie Lennox, reform school graduate and private eye during the rough and tumble years of the Pendergast era. Katy Munger is the author of the Casey Jones series, which features 30-something, bottled blonde tough girl P.I. Casey Jones and cast of eccentric, uniquely southern supporting characters. They are hardboiled, tongue-in-cheek, intelligently written books for fans of such authors as Joseph Wambaugh or any of the female detective series. She also writes the Hubbert & Lil series under the name Gallagher Gray, which features 84-year old Auntie Lil and her 55-year old nephew T.S. Hubbert. These are gently humorous classic mysteries that combine the layered approach of Agatha Christie with the tongue-in-cheek wit of P.G. Wodehouse.
